The only thing I lamented about this one was that it marked the beginning of the time reduction, although the difference has been more notable in the longer-stretching Poirot series. But of all the adaptations I've seen with a substituted detective, this one is my favourite. The more strict adherence than usual helped, and Ms McEwan's version of Miss Marple seemed to thrive without the presence of a closer-to-accurate version with Ms Hickson.
My one huge ding was their trying to pass off the tennis match as the Wimbledon final - although it was fun seeing former US Open finalist Greg Rusedski.
